Coronado Community Info

Coronado, also known as Coronado Island, is an affluent beach community surrounded by the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The peninsula of Coronado is 5 miles from downtown San Diego and is connected via the San Diego-Coronado Bridge that crosses over San Diego Bay, and a by a 10-mile isthmus called the Silver Strand.

The City of Coronado has an island feel and a village atmosphere enjoyed by its residents and visitors. It is home to the famous Hotel Del Coronado, a popular tourist destination. “The Island” offers miles of gorgeous beaches, 17 bike paths and a golf course.
