La Jolla Alta Community Info

The community of La Jolla Alta is unique within La Jolla in that it is primarily made up of Planned Residential Developments. The community is located on the south slope of Mount Soledad and is known for the spectacular views of the ocean, bay, and city lights.

La Jolla Alta does consist of some pockets of custom built homes, which are usually built upon larger lots. The roads within the neighborhood were planned to cascade down the slope in an attempt to maximize the ocean and city views of these hillside lots. Homes within these pockets tend to be larger, 2,500 sq ft and up, and are priced anywhere between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000.

The Planned Residential Developments within La Jolla Alta are definitely not your average planned communities. These are million dollar luxury homes that have bay or ocean views, tennis facilities, clubhouses, pools, and state of the art gymnasium facilities. There are three main planned communities within La Jolla Alta: Crystal Bay, Ventana, and Eldorado I & II.

La Jolla Alta community is located only minutes from the restaurants and boutiques of La Jolla Village. This coastal community is also minutes from the world famous Windansea beach, the La Jolla, Cove, and La Jolla Shores.
