Mission Beach Community Info

Mission Beach is a community of San Diego located on a two mile sandbar with the Pacific Ocean to the West and Mission Bay to the east. With nearly two miles of ocean front and many entertainment options Mission Beach is a popular beach destination in the City of San Diego. A boardwalk runs along the beaches on both the ocean and bay sides of the community leading into Pacific Beach to the North. The community is divided into South Mission, a peninsula, and North Mission. At the south end of the beach a jetty, with grass, parking and a walk, extends into the ocean. In the center of Mission Beach a variety of shops, restaurants, and beach rental outfits surround the lifeguard station beside the landmark roller coaster. Mission Beach consists of numerous ocean and bay front residential properties with vacation renters and full-time residents.
