Coronado – Home to the Silver Strand
Coronado will host the 12th Annual Silver Strand Half Marathon & 5K is on Sunday, November 13th, beginning at 7 a.m. at the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza Join local residents who live in Coronado and surrounding San Diego areas as they raise money for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. If you don’t want to or can’t race, come and cheer on those that do as they race past your Coronado home.
The half marathon and 5K race events are open to runners, walkers, and even skaters (with helmets, of course! Water stations, a total of six, will be available every 1.5 miles along the course and some of the stations will have extras, too. Lots of activities geared at children, as well as for live music, food, drinks, and more are planned for the end of the race at the Party at the Pier, so bring the whole family to this amazing community event!
