Del Mar – Home to Horse Racing
Del Mar Racetrack has opened for the season which brings lots of opportunities for residents who live in Del Mar and surrounding San Diego cities. The racetrack also sponsors a free summer concert series that begins after the racing tonight, Friday, July 22nd with G Love & Special Sauce. This gives you a chance to enjoy the day and the night near your Del Mar home! Next week’s concerts feature Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Ziggy Marley salutes the Legends of Reggae. The concerts are free to race attendees and non-race watchers can pay $20 to attend. On Sunday, July 24th, the racetrack celebrates Family Fun Day, offering Webkinz plush horse stuffed animals to each child in attendance. Weekend post time is at 2 p.m. and the gates open two hours prior. Admission for children is free with an adult, and general admission is $10. Discount books are available, as well.
