Farmers’ Market Delights – Coronado Through Del Mar

Gorgeous colors, fresh scents, peak produce and tempting international cuisine all can be found at Farmers’ Markets throughout San Diego.  Take a day to wander this summer and enjoy treasures straight from the farm in cities from Coronado through Del Mar.

Tuesdays

 The Coronado Ferry Landing Farmers’ Market, at Il Fornaio Restaurant, begins to bustle at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.  Locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, and eggs can be found year-round.

Saturdays

The Pacific Beach  Farmers’ Market offers locally grown fruit and vegetables and is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays at the Promenade Mall on Mission Boulevard, between Reed Street and Pacific Beach Drive.

The Del Mar Farmers’ Market is open from 1-4 p.m. every Saturday in the Del Mar City Parking Lot, 1050 Camino Del Mar, and a range of art, creative food and gifts from around the world, along with fresh organic vegetables and fruits, cheese, meats, poultry, and seafood can be found . 

The Del Mar Artisan Open Air Market is located next to the Farmers’ Market and operates between 12pm-4pm offering handcrafted jewelry and specialty items.

Sundays

The upper playground of La Jolla Elementary is transformed every Sunday, between 9am and 1pm, into a vibrant and wholesome Farmers’ Market. Live music attracts neighbors and artists to this Certified Farmer’s Market featuring fruit, vegetable and flower growers weekly at 7335 Girard Street.
