Largest Flower Show Shines Near Your Coronado Home

Coronado’s 87th Annual Flower Show is themed “A Floral Olympiad” this year and will run April 21st and 22nd. An amazing and engaging collection of tents bring color, elegance and the largest flower show in the country to Spreckels Park between 6th and 7th Street on Orange Avenue. Residents are even invited to bring a plant or floral entry from their own homes in Coronado to enter into the contest on April 20th or 21st. Providing awards, entertainment and lots “how to” advice, the flower show is an engaging event for all ages. The “Beer Garden” and Food Pavilion will provide a gathering place for you and your friends who live in Coronado to relax on Saturday, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults, and CFA members and children under 12 years old are free. Whether you enjoy landscaping, floral designing or just seeing some beautiful flowers, the Coronado Flower Show is a great place to spend your time. Lectures and live demonstrations, accompanied by shopping opportunities and ongoing live bandstand entertainment provide lots of opportunity for fun as well. The plant sale will run Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the CFA Members’ Gala will start at 6 p.m.  Click here to view the show schedule.
