Lights, Cameras, Action in Coronado & La Jolla

Lights, Cameras, Action in Coronado & La Jolla imageSan Diego home owners make holiday decorating an art with carefully hung lights and themes.  If you want to add a little spirit to your holiday, plan a night to admire the festive decorations of your neighbors (and perhaps your own!).  Keys to a successful evening include a thermos filled with the hot beverage of your choice, cookies or other snacks, your camera, gloves, a scarf, and a warm jacket.  Follow this guide or create your own as you explore your local neighborhood.

Coronado homes are a must see decked out in holiday splendor.   These historic homes allow for classic decorating and lots of lights.  Each house is impeccably lit and very impressive.

Point Loma homes on Garrison Street, off of Rosecrans display fantastic scenes through Jan. 3rd, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Many of these Point Loma’s holiday displays feature nautical scenes and lots of Christmas cheer. Dress warmly and plan to walk through the homes as you admire their beauty.  This community display is not a drive-by sight.

Lastly, La Jolla homes and decorations are always a treat.  Pick a neighborhood and drive through the uniquely styled light displays.  Be sure to visit the beach houses while you’re there, too.  Have fun and stay warm!
